The Area’s Only Certified Air Cargo Screening Packer

New Security Regulations – Passenger Cargo Screening

Passenger aircraft carry a great deal of cargo. Effective August 1, 2010, 100% of that cargo must be screened for explosives. All overpacks must be screened and inspected to the interior piece level.

While passenger aircraft accommodate packages as tall as 64", typical air cargo screening X-ray equipment has an opening of 30" by 30" and a 150-lb weight limit. Any unscreened container over these limits must be broken down to units that are small enough to be X-rayed, or it must be opened, unpacked, disassembled, X-rayed and/or inspected, repacked, closed, and secured before it can be put on a passenger aircraft for shipment.

The shipment is delayed and the possibilities of damage, improper repacking, theft, or loss are obviously high.

Horn Packaging Solves the Problem

The problem can be avoided by using Horn to do your packing. Horn International Packaging has been the area’s only TSA-certified cargo screener since December 2009. Each piece is pre-screened as it is packed. A traceable security label is affixed to all internal packages and the exterior shipping container or pallet. Horn provides the certification documentation that gets your package on the aircraft without further third-party screening or delays.

Horn TSA-certified packing ensures that your cargo will move safely and expeditiously.
