Horn Packaging Corporation - Protective Packaging Solutions

Package Engineering and Design

Horn’s package engineers and design professionals use state-of-the-art Computer Aided Design software and a host of materials to develop cost effective, environmentally friendly protective packaging. They work with corrugated paper and plastic, foams, wood, metal, and other media to create internal and external protective packaging components.

The design and engineering process often includes the presentation of different design options and complete prototypes for presentation, evaluation, and testing. Our engineers work in partnership with our customers to meet exacting requirements.

Our state of the art on-site testing lab is certified by the International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) with Certified Packaging Laboratory Professional Technicians (CPLP) on hand. It includes drop, shock, and vibration testing equipment with accelerometers to simulate transportation conditions. Staff members are certified by the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IOPP).

Using CAD software systems, concept designs and samples are developed into production drawings that are formalized to insure consistent manufacturing to exacting specifications.

The end result is packaging that meets your needs, fits your budget, and protects your products.
